Veritas Diversity Policy
Veritas Single Catholics felt that in order to better conform to the changing world, we needed a Diversity Policy to guide us.
This policy would be the same as other typical Diversity Policies.
To summarize:
• To accept ALL differences and beliefs while at the same time daring not to notice or speak them.
• To develop a sense of caring. That is, accepting ALL in their present state, even if that present state is harmful and/or has them on a path to eternal damnation.
• To push “alternative lifestyles” (called gay, lesbian, bisexual or transsexual) and to throw in a little racial sensitivity enlightenment to help cover the true intent of pushing the “alternative lifestyles”.
• To re-define the word “tolerant” to mean acceptance of the homosexual life style, even to the point of embracing it. Those who do not meet this criteria are referred to as intolerant, hateful, ignorant and various other ludicrous and demeaning terms. Where’s the tolerance?
• To summarize the summary: To accept ALL that the Diversity gods favor and to viscously reject and attack ALL that the Diversity gods do not favor. To tout "tolerance", but then to actually be most intolerant.
However, we Veritas Single Catholic Adults, upon reflection of the teachings of our faith and with the basic human dignity and decency within us decided to reject the Diversity agenda. We instead chose the Christian way of treating ALL human beings with respect, charity and true tolerance.
To summarize:
• To respect ALL human life from conception to natural death. This of course means rejecting abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research and the abuse of human beings for the pleasure of others.
Although the death penalty is acceptable in some instances, we favor the quality of mercy.
• To admonish the sinner. We are all sinners and do fall down from time to time. However, it is our duty as Christians to work not only toward our own holiness, but to help our fellow man to do the same. As such, obstinate refusal to discontinue an immoral or otherwise sinful lifestyle will not be accepted, but instead an attempt should be made, in charity, at conversion to a Christian lifestyle. Love the sinner, hate the sin does apply.
• To not arbitrarily judge or attack another’s character. Admonishing sinful behavior does not qualify as judging. In fact, it is an act of charity.
• To put the Catholic Faith at the center of all that we do and try to do no matter how much certain elements of society try to discourage this practice. Remember the words of JPII, “Be not afraid”.
• To summarize the summary: Simply living according to the teachings of the Catholic Faith will help us to treat ALL human beings with respect and dignity while at the same time helping each other to attain eternal salvation and happiness. True charity is not in accepting harmful and evil behavior in people, but is in trying to convert them to God and thus to true happiness in life and in death.
